LINCOLN -- Robert F. Huff, 65, of Lincoln died Wednesday,
Sept. 28, 2005, at 11:50 a.m. at his home.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. His funeral
will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the
Rev. Jame Hahs officiating.
Burial will be in Zion Cemetery.
Mr. Huff was a tool and die maker at Cutler-Hammer in
Lincoln for 40 years.
He was born Oct. 26, 1939, in Lincoln to Harold K. and
Helen M. Brown Huff. He married Christel A. Johnson on Dec.
9, 1977, in Lincoln.
He is survived by his wife, of Lincoln; one daughter,
Bobbie Lee Huff of Springfield; two sons, Radcliff L. (and
Jenny) Bishop of Lincoln and Wade A. (and Amy) Bishop of
Hopedale; three grandchildren, Melissa and Madison Bishop of
Lincoln and Samantha Bishop of Hopedale; two cousins,
Beverly (and Chuck) Tucker of Lynwood and Bill (and Jeanne)
Taylor of Dyer, Ind.; and his mother-in-law, Lorraine Bayer
of Lincoln.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son,
James Kenneth Huff, who died June 5, 1975.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of
Lincoln, the Methodist church Boy Scout Troop 102 and
Lincoln Elks 914. He was a volunteer at the Heritage In
Flight Museum.
Memorials may be made to the Logan County Airport
Heritage In Flight Museum or the Huff Memorial Fund for the
third-grade swim program at Chester-East Lincoln School.

SPRINGFIELD -- Dorothy V. Lauer, 88, formerly of Lincoln,
died Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2005, at 9:15 a.m. at St. John's
North.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. John
United Church of Christ in Lincoln, with the Rev. Richard
Reinwald officiating.
Burial will be in New Union Cemetery, Lincoln.
Mrs. Lauer and her husband owned Lauer Hardware in
Lincoln for many years.
She was born Feb. 26, 1917, at Waynesville to John G. and
Cecyle N. Smith Klemm. She married Louis C. Lauer on Dec.
15, 1942, at the Lauer home in Lincoln. He died Aug. 18,
1981.
She is survived by four daughters, Laura Sue Lauer of
Springfield, Janice (and Terry) Mills of Phoenix, Ariz.,
Nancy J. (and James) Seguin of La Grange Park and Debbie
(and Bill) Daugherty of Hillard, Ohio; one sister, Emily
(and Paul) Mobley of Brookfield, Mo.; one brother, Paul
Klemm of Lincoln; eight grandchildren; and eight
great-grandchildren.
She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in
Lincoln.
Memorials may be made to St. John's Hospice of
Springfield, breast cancer research or the donor's choice.
