The advisory is for the counties of Knox, Stark, Peoria, Marshall,
Woodford, Fulton, Tazewell, McLean, Schuyler, Mason, Logan, DeWitt,
Piatt, Champaign, Vermilion, Cass, Menard, Scott, Morgan, Sangamon,
Christian, Macon, Moultrie, Douglas and Edgar, including the cities
of Galesburg, Peoria, Bloomington, Normal, Havana, Lincoln,
Champaign, Urbana, Danville, Jacksonville, Springfield, Taylorville
and Decatur. A tight pressure gradient around low pressure across
the Great Lakes will create gusty winds across central Illinois.
During the morning hours, winds will gust to around 45 mph at times, particularly across locations along and north of
Interstate 72. As the low pulls farther away from the region, winds
will gradually subside during the afternoon.
