[AUG. 12, 2006]  Lincoln Art & Balloon Festival "crew school" is free and open to the public. Training will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church lot, 1409 Pulaski St.

What is crew school?

You'll learn the ups and downs of crewing a hot-air balloon. All participants will be trained to assist balloon pilots and be awarded "Chamber Certified Crew Member" certificates.

Up to five balloons could possibly inflate during the training, and if the weather cooperates, all participants will be eligible for a drawing for hot-air balloon rides.

Anyone with an interest in getting involved with the sport of hot-air ballooning is invited to participate.

Crew school was rescheduled due to inclement weather on Thursday.

The Lincoln Art & Balloon Festival is Aug. 25-27.
