The Oasis, Logan County's senior citizen
center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open weekdays, except
holidays, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center also is open on Friday
and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is the executive
director. Activities are open to all Logan County senior citizens,
regardless of membership. Friends of The Oasis members receive a
bimonthly newsletter by mail and reduced rates for classes and

St. Clara's sponsors bingo St. Clara's Manor will sponsor
the bingo games beginning at 1 p.m. Thursday at The Oasis senior
center. Come join the fun and bring a friend.
Oasis closed Monday
The senior center will be closed Monday, Aug. 28. Activities will
resume on Tuesday.
Tuesday lunch
The 11:30 a.m. lunch for Aug. 29 will feature hard-shell tacos,
salad and a dessert for only $3.75, or $3.25 if you stay and play
cards. Reservation deadline is 4 p.m. Friday.

Tickets available for breakfast bingo
The Oasis will have breakfast bingo Aug. 31. The menu features
pancakes, sausage links, egg casserole and fresh fruit. Bingo games
following the breakfast will be sponsored by Christian Village. The
cost is $3.50 to eat and play, 50 cents to play bingo, or $3 to eat
and run. The deadline to purchase tickets at The Oasis is noon Aug.

Winners for the week announced
Delores Ford and Doris Steffens were weekday pinochle winners.
The weekend pinochle winners were Kathy Rose and Helen Opperman. The
winners at five-in-one were Jessica Hughes and Henry Warnisher.
Rummy winner was Dorothy Oltmanns. Congratulations.
