Joan Jarrett Woods, 88, of Lincoln died
Monday, Dec. 4, 2006, at 4:20 a.m. at the Christian Village. |

Her body will be cremated and there will be no
services. Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in
Lincoln is handling arrangements.
Mrs. Woods was formerly a librarian in
Bloomington.
She was born Jan. 28, 1918, in Bloomington to Oro
J. and Blanche Aldrich Jarrett. She married Robert
J. Woods in 1951 in Bloomington; he preceded her in
death on Feb. 26, 1998.
She was also preceded in death by one sister,
Virginia Jarrett Vellenga, and was the last of her
immediate family.

She is survived by a nephew, Peter Vellenga, and a
niece, Joan Clark.
She was a graduate of William and Mary College.
