The Oasis, Logan County's senior citizen
center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open weekdays, except
holidays, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center also is open on Friday
and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is the executive
director. Activities are open to all Logan County senior citizens,
regardless of membership. Friends of The Oasis members receive a
bimonthly newsletter by mail and reduced rates for classes and

Bingo sponsored by Maple Ridge
Maple Ridge Care Centre will sponsor the bingo games that will
begin at 1 p.m. Thursday at The Oasis. Come join the fun and win a
prize.
Book club
The book club is scheduled to meet on Monday at 1 p.m. at the
senior center. Rekindle the rewards of reading a book and either
sharing your thoughts with the group or just sitting back and
listening to others. Refreshments will be provided.
Tuesday lunch
The 11:30 a.m. lunch for Dec. 12 will feature pork in gravy,
noodles, mixed vegetables, roll and a dessert for only $3.75, or
$3.25 if you stay and play cards. Reservation deadline is noon
Monday.

Winners for the week announced
The week of Nov. 14, pinochle winners were Larry VanBibber and
Alice Petro. The weekend pinochle winners were Irene Tumilty and
Christine March. The rummy winners were Ella Lee Graney and Ruth
Barry.
The week of Nov. 21, the pinochle winner was Eleanor Barton. The
weekend pinochle winners were Eleanor Barton and Larry VanBibber.
The rummy winner was Ruth Barry. Congratulations to all.
