[JULY 21, 2006]  McLEAN -- Charles D. Ryan, 73, of McLean died Thursday, July 20, 2006, at 6:42 p.m. at BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal.

Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the McLean Christian Church. His funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the church, with Tony Billingsley officiating.

An entombment service will be at 11 a.m. July 29 at Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow, W.Va.

Quiram Funeral Home, Atlanta, handled arrangements.

Mr. Ryan was a maintenance supervisor.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He was born Oct. 31, 1932, at Shrewsbury, W.Va., to Charles and Reba Polly Harper.

He is survived by his wife, Charla K. Dootson Ryan of McLean; four children, Charles "Tex" (and Cathy) Ryan Jr. of Wheaton, Mickale (and Christine) Ryan of Roscoe, Deborah (and Craig) Myers of McLean and Daniel (and Colleen) Ryan of Round Lake Heights; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
