[JULY 22, 2006]  ^"Son Treasure Island" is the theme for the Vacation Bible School planned for July 23-27 at St. John United of Christ. Hours for the program are 6:30-8:30 p.m.

The program simulates a treasure-hunting adventure in the Caribbean Islands. Songs, skits, crafts, games and Bible stories are worked into this theme. Through these activities children will learn about how Jesus’ life illustrates God’s love as described in I Corinthians 13. Snacks will be served as well.

Vacation Bible School director is Valerie Coombs of Lincoln. A closing program for children and their families will be at 7:15 p.m. Friday in the church Fellowship Hall. Refreshments will follow the presentation.

All children from age 3 through completion of sixth grade are welcome. To register, call 732-6957 or come a few minutes early on the first night.
