| Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Elkhart Christian
Church, with Bob Twist officiating. Burial will be in Elkhart Cemetery.
Holland and Barry Funeral Home in Lincoln is handling
arrangements.
Mrs. Allen was a teacher for many years at Elkhart
Elementary School and retired from Mount Pulaski Unit 23.
She was born March 14, 1921, in Elkhart to Russell and
Ruth Merritt Follis. She married Harvey Allen, and he
preceded her in death June 24, 1992.
She is survived by an uncle, Chester (and wife Betty)
Merritt of Springfield; an aunt, Marie Tussey of Centralia;
and numerous cousins.
She was a member of Elkhart Christian Church.
She was a good friend to many and a "mother" to those who
knew and loved her.
Memorial donations may be made to the Christian Village
and will be accepted at the funeral home.
