Brenda G. Newberry, 64, of Lincoln died
Friday, June 16, 2006, at 9:30 p.m. at her home.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. Her funeral will be
at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Phillip
Blackburn and Casey Tygrett officiating. |

After the funeral service, Mrs. Newberry's body will
be cremated. A graveside service at Union Cemetery
will be at a later date. Mrs. Newberry was retired
co-owner of Newberry's Automotive.
She was born Feb. 27, 1942, in Ravenden, Ark., to
Paul and Freda Meridith Shelton. She married Jerry
R. Newberry on April 1, 1961, in Pensacola, Fla.
She is survived by her husband, of Lincoln; one
son, Rick (and Tracy) Newberry of Lincoln; one
daughter, Beverly (and Michael) Brown of Lincoln;
two sisters, Joyce (and Birl) Bell of Mount Home,
Ark., and Jessica (and Eldon) Gaither of Warsaw,
Ind.; and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one
brother, John Shelton.
Memorials may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis
Society or Hospice Care of Illinois.
