A graveside service for Brenda G.
Newberry will be at 10 a.m. Monday at New Union Cemetery, with the
Rev. Phillip Blackburn officiating
Mrs. Newberry, 64, of Lincoln died June 16, 2006, at 9:30
p.m. at her home. |

Visitation was on Wednesday at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. A
service at the funeral home was on Thursday, with
the Rev. Phillip Blackburn and Casey Tygrett
officiating. Her body was cremated.
Mrs. Newberry was retired
co-owner of Newberry's Automotive.
She was born Feb. 27, 1942, in Ravenden, Ark., to
Paul and Freda Meridith Shelton. She married Jerry
R. Newberry on April 1, 1961, in Pensacola, Fla.
She is survived by her husband, of Lincoln; one
son, Rick (and Tracy) Newberry of Lincoln; one
daughter, Beverly (and Michael) Brown of Lincoln;
two sisters, Joyce (and Birl) Bell of Mount Home,
Ark., and Jessica (and Eldon) Gaither of Warsaw,
Ind.; and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one
brother, John Shelton.
Memorials may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis
Society or Hospice Care of Illinois.
