LINCOLN -- Wilhelmina "Minnie" Belcher, 103, of Lincoln,
died Monday, Feb. 27, 2006, at 6:32 p.m. at St. Clara's
Manor.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at New
Union Cemetery, with the Rev. Curt McCallister officiating.
Arrangements are by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home
in Lincoln.
Mrs. Belcher was a homemaker.
She was born May 27, 1902, at Bochum, Germany, to Albert
and Louise Novak Linkner. She married Theodore Belcher on
Dec. 25, 1921, in Lincoln.
She is survived by one son, John (and Lynette) Belcher of
Mason City; one daughter, Mary Louise Horath of Lincoln; 12
grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and
great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, James
Belcher; and two daughters, Betty King and Mildred Franz.
She was a member of Lincoln Christian Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Clara's
Manor or to Hospice Care of Illinois.

 William Hull

LINCOLN -- William M. Hull, 64, of Lincoln died Sunday,
Feb. 26, 2006, at 2:55 p.m. at Memorial Medical Center in
Springfield.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, following a
prayer service at 3:30.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Family
Church, with the Rev. R. Anthony Lee officiating.
Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Wapella.
Mr. Hull was executive vice president, trust officer and
secretary of the board of directors at State Bank of
Lincoln.
He had been in the U.S. Army Reserves.
He was born March 20, 1941, in Bloomington to Paul M. and
Eleanor J. Walsh Hull. He married Starr L. Bridge on Aug.
22, 1964, in Champaign.
He is survived by his wife, of Lincoln; two daughters,
Kimberly (and B. John) Gatesman of Pittsburgh, Pa., and
Tiffany (and Timothy) Gardella of Oakland Township, Mich.;
one brother, James (and Jill) Hull of Clinton; and five
grandchildren, Megan Gardella, W. Garrett Gardella, Connor
Gatesman, Sommer Gardella and Austin Gatesman.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In his 32 years in Lincoln, he dedicated his time,
efforts and leadership to improve the health care,
education, recreation and economic opportunities for all the
people in Lincoln, Logan County and central Illinois.
He served on the boards of Abraham Lincoln Memorial
Hospital, ALMH Healthcare Systems, ALMH Foundation and
Memorial Health System. He chaired the Dr. Robert Perry
building expansion, Quality Health Care Committee, Logan
County Economic Development Foundation, Logan County Growth
Inc., Greater Lincoln-Logan County Chamber of Commerce,
Rotary International exchange committee, Lincoln Art Fair
and Logan County Illini Sports Caravan. He was a member of
Holy Family Church, Catholic Social Service board for the
Diocese of Peoria, the president's council of the University
of Illinois, Chamber Ambassadors, Logan County Extension
board and Kappa Kappa chapter of Sigma Chi fraternity.
He was named the 2004 Courier Citizen of the Year.
He received his bachelor's degree from the University of
Illinois and his master's degree from Cornell University in
Ithaca, N.Y.
Memorials may be made to Abraham Lincoln Healthcare
Foundation for ALMH 2010; to the University of Illinois
Foundation for the College of Agricultural, Consumer and
Environmental Sciences; or to the Memorial Medical Center
Foundation Transplant Fund.

Virginia Klokkenga

HARTSBURG -- Virginia Klokkenga, 77, of Hartsburg died
Sunday, Feb. 26, 2006, at Saint Francis Medical Center in
Peoria.
Her funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St.
John's Lutheran Church in Hartsburg, with Pastor David
Russell officiating. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m.
Thursday at the church.
Burial in Hartsburg Union Cemetery will be for family and
will take place prior to the service.
Holland and Barry Funeral Home in Lincoln is handling
arrangements.
Mrs. Klokkenga was a nurse at Bartmann's Nursing Home and
St. Clara's Manor and also taught nursing classes at
Heartland Community College. She also worked with her
husband on the farm in Hartsburg for several years.
She was born Nov. 24, 1928, in rural Hartsburg to Dirk
and Florence Minch Behrends. She married Robert D. Klokkenga
on July 30, 1950 in Hartsburg. He died Dec. 23, 2005.
She is survived by two sons, Kendall (and Kim) Klokkenga
of Glendale, Ariz., and Kurt Klokkenga of Hartsburg; two
daughters, Roberta Klokkenga of Springfield and Lorna
Klokkenga of San Antonio, Texas; four grandchildren, Paul
and Abigail Klokkenga of Emden and Matthew and Valerie
Klokkenga of Glendale, Ariz.; two brothers, Ronald "Joe"
Behrends of Pekin and Dirk Behrends of Delavan; and three
sisters, Barbara Thomas of Bloomington, Gretchen Little of
Quincy and Jennie Schleder of Warrensburg.
Other close family members are Tom and Mary Anderson and
sons Robert and Ryan.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in
death by three brothers, John Behrends, Byron "Nip" Behrends
and Robert "Bud" Behrends.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in
Hartsburg.
She was very proud to graduate from Methodist School of
Nursing in 1949 as a registered nurse.

Methodist College of Nursing Scholarship Fund, in care of
the Methodist Medical Center Foundation, 120 N.E. Glen Oak
Ave., Suite 209, Peoria, IL 61603.

BROADWELL -- Ruth Annette Ridgeway, 80, of Broadwell died
Saturday, Feb. 25, 2006, at 3:25 p.m. at the Christian
Village Nursing Home in Lincoln.
Her funeral
was scheduled for Wednesday morning at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with Dan
Wagner and Ryan Edgecomb co-officiating. Visitation was on
Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial is in Kline Cemetery.
Mrs. Ridgeway had worked as a state employee in the
Illinois Department of Public Aid.
She was born April 5, 1925, in Lincoln to John "Pete" and
Lena Behrends Langenbahn. She married Charles E. Ridgeway on
Oct. 5, 1943, in Bowling Green, Mo.
She is survived by her husband, Charles E. Ridgeway Sr.
of Broadwell; one daughter, Judy (and Simon) Aper of
Broadwell; two sons, Charles E. (and Ruthann) Ridgeway Jr.
of Broadwell and Ron (and Hazel) Ridgeway of Broadwell; one
brother, Al (and Doris) Langenbahn of Lincoln; eight
grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
One sister, Doris Langenbahn, preceded her in death.
She was a member of Broadwell Christian Church.
Memorials may be made to her church or to the Christian
Village.

Virginia Culleton

LINCOLN -- Virginia C. Culleton, 81, of Lincoln died
Friday, Feb. 24, 2006, at 12:20 p.m. at St. Clara's Manor.
Her funeral service was scheduled for Wednesday morning at
Holland and Barry, with the Rev. Jame Haas of the First
United Methodist Church in Lincoln officiating. Visitation
was on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial is in New Union Cemetery.
Mrs. Culleton was employed as an accountant for Illico
Oil Company for 12 years before her retirement.
She was born Sept. 11, 1924, in Lincoln to the late Frank
and Clara Lucy McNelly Sotzen. She married Paul David
Culleton on June 15, 1941, in St. Charles, Mo. He died in
1983.
She is survived by two sons, David Owen Culleton of
Lincoln and Robert Charles Culleton of Port Orange, Fla.;
one brother, Richard Frank Sotzen of Lincoln; six
grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren
She was also preceded in death by one son, Larry Richard
Culleton; a granddaughter, Lori Culleton; and one sister,
Mabel Irene Hertzfeldt.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in
Lincoln.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Clara's Manor and
will be accepted at the funeral home.

LINCOLN -- JoAnn Wright Schrader, 65, of Lincoln died
Thursday, Feb. 23, 2006, at Memorial Medical Center in
Springfield.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Green
Hill Cemetery, San Jose.
Bennett Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Mrs. Schrader was a cook for several years at Abraham
Lincoln Memorial Hospital and for schools in the area.
She was born Jan. 7, 1941, in Lincoln to Gwen and Dorothy
Humbert Wright. She married Ron Schrader on Aug. 10, 1969,
in Sikeston, Mo.
She is survived by her husband, of Lincoln; her father,
of Lincoln; three daughters, Teresa Lee of DuQuoin, Diana
Crusan of Mulkeytown and Becky Delong of Sherman; three
sons, Ronnie Schrader of Burlington, Wis., Joe Schrader of
San Jose and Donnie Blair of San Jose; three brothers, Jim
Wright, Bobby Wright and Russell Wright, all of Lincoln; one
sister, Kay Ellen Skelton of San Jose; 15 grandchildren; and
two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
She was of the Lutheran faith.
