Rich Reinwald to celebrate 20th year of local ministry Send a link to a friend [MARCH 18, 2006] The 20th anniversary of the Lincoln ministry of the Rev. Rich Reinwald will be celebrated with an open house on March 26 at St. John United Church of Christ in Lincoln. The public open house will be from 1 to 3 p.m. March 26 in the St. John Fellowship Hall. Cake and punch will be served. The open house will be preceded by a potluck dinner for church members, which will immediately follow the 10:30 a.m. worship service. The Rev. Rich and Barb Reinwald came to St. John United Church of Christ on April 1, 1986. He previously served from 1978 to 1986 at St. John UCC in St. Clair, Mo., and from 1973 to 1978 at St. James UCC at Morrison, Mo. Currently, the Rev. Reinwald is vice moderator of the Western Association of the United Church of Christ. He has previously served on the association's nominating and church and ministry committees, including a term as chair of the latter. Lenten services begin at Good Shepherd Send a link to a friend [FEB. 25, 2006] Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1140 North State, will have Wednesday evening services in observance of Lent. Ash Wednesday is the beginning of Lent, a time used for reflection in preparation for Easter. Services will be each Wednesday at 6:30 p.m., and fellowship will follow the service, with coffee and snacks served. Good Shepherd invites anyone interested in examining the meaning of baptism and God's grace to join them on Wednesdays beginning March 1 through April 5.
