WAPELLA -- James D. "Jim" Brown, 78, of
Wapella died Sunday, April 30, 2006, at 7:45 a.m. at
Bloomington Rehabilitation and Health Care Center,
Bloomington.
Visitation was on Tuesday
at Quiram Funeral Home, Atlanta.
A private family service was on
Wednesday at Sugar Grove Cemetery, rural Wapella, with the
Rev. Nadine Preston officiating.
Mr. Brown farmed in the Wapella area.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
He was born Dec. 2, 1927, at rural Wapella
to Gerald and Gene Boyd Brown. He married Ramona Froman in
1951.
He is survived by one son, Kim Brown of
Bloomington; two daughters, Carol Davis of Jerseyville and
Nancy (and Roger) Reinhart of Waynesville; four
grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Memorial contributions may be made to the
Wapella Rescue Squad, Atlanta Rescue Squad, or the
Bloomington Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
