Robert S. Hedrick, 79, of Lincoln died
Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2006, at 10 a.m. at Memorial Medical Center in
Springfield. |
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. An
Eagles service will be at 6:45 and the rosary will
follow at 7 p.m. His funeral service will be at 10
a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Church, with the Rev.
R. Anthony Lee officiating.
Burial, with military rites, will be in St.
Mary's Cemetery.
Mr. Hedrick retired in 1991 after 26 years as
truck driver for U.S. Corrugated, Boise-Cascade.
He was with the medical service in the U.S. Army
during World War II.
He was born Aug. 5, 1927, in Detroit, Mich., to
William V. and Pauline Willoughby Hedrick. He
married Ann F. Schnorberger on Oct. 8, 1949, in
Monroe, Mich.
He is survived by his wife, of Lincoln; two
daughters, Laura (and Willis) Adams of Lincoln and
Holly (and Gary) Woodhall of Lincoln; two sons,
Robert W. (Minnie) Hedrick of Lake Fork and William
V. Hedrick of Lincoln; one brother, Paul (and Emma
Lou) Hedrick of Monroe, Mich.; two sisters, Jean
(and Floyd) Pete of Monroe, Mich., and Shirley
Richards of Waterford, Mich.; and five
grandchildren, Michael Hedrick, Melissa (and Andre)
Nemeth, Wes Woodhall, Jennifer (and Chris) Malerich
and Willie Hedrick; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was a member of Holy Family Church, 4th degree
Knights of Columbus, Eagles Lodge 2708, American
Legion 263 and Teamsters Local 36.
