Newell 'Mike' Grady

[OCT. 9, 2006]  ARMINGTON -- Newell "Mike" Grady, 85, of Lindale, Texas, died Sept. 26, 2006, in Lindale.

Cremation rites have been accorded, and no visitation is scheduled.

A graveside service was on Wednesday morning, Oct. 11, at Oak View Cemetery, rural Armington. Ed Loyd officiated, and military rites were conducted.

Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta was in charge of local arrangements.

Mr. Grady served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.

He was born May 27, 1921, in Rockport to Delbert and Jessie Capps Grady.

He is survived by his wife, June Grady; one daughter, Susan (and Edward) Morgan of Merced, Calif.; two brothers, Donald Grady of Lockport and Leonard Grady of Yucaipa, Calif.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son and one daughter.
