[SEPT. 1, 2006]  ARMINGTON -- Mildred G. Burt, 90, formerly of Armington, died Thursday, Aug. 31, 2006, at 7:35 p.m. at the Christian Village Nursing Home in Lincoln, where she had resided the past several years.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Armington Christian Church. Ed Loyd and Ryan Edgecomb will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be in Oak View Cemetery, rural Armington.

Quiram Funeral Home handled arrangements.

She was born June 27, 1916, in rural Atlanta to Elbert Dean and Anna Graham Frantz. She married Paul Burt in Pekin on June 1, 1935. He died Oct. 15, 1968.

She is survived by one daughter, Carol Ann (and Steve) Winkler of Paris; one son, Dick (and Anne) Burt of Minier; two sisters, Helen Kindred of Normal and Wilma Storm of St. Peters, Mo.; one brother, Wilbur Frantz of Atlanta; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers.

Mrs. Burt was a member of the Armington Christian Church and the Lincoln Christian Village Auxiliary.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Armington Christian Church, Lincoln Christian Village or Armington Fire and Rescue.
