Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at
Holland and Barry Funeral Home, with Pastor Robert
Henderson officiating. Visitation will be one hour
prior to the service.
Burial will be in New Union Cemetery.
Mrs. Hurley was a homemaker.
She was born April 6, 1926, in Pinckneyville to
Clifford and Nellie M. Poole Presswood. She married
Harold R. Hurley on April 29, 1944, in Lincoln, and
he died March 5, 2002.
She is survived by one daughter, Carol S. (and
Charley) Beck of Kissee Mills, Mo.; one son, Gary L.
Hurley of Lincoln; one brother, Billy L. Presswood
of Lincoln; two sisters, Bessie Gaston of
Pinckneyville and Vivian Shanle of Lincoln; six
grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one
great-great-granddaughter
She was preceded in death by two sons, Terry L.
and Robert D. Hurley; two brothers, Loren Rich and
Floyd Presswood; and one sister, Genevieve Clampet.
She was of the Southern Baptist faith and was a
member of the Eagles.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart
Association and will be accepted at the funeral
home.
