Alan Steven Moore

[December 14, 2007]  Alan Steven Moore, 59, of Lincoln died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007, at 2:26 p.m. at  Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago, where he was awaiting a liver transplant.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski. A celebration of life service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, at the funeral home. Pastor Scott Moore will officiate.

Burial will be in Mount Pulaski Cemetery.

Mr. Moore retired from employment with the state of Illinois.

He was born Jan. 26, 1948, in Lincoln to Harold "Pick" and Gladys Lorene Scott Moore. He married Leslee Last Vogel in Hartsburg on July 6, 1996.

He is survived by his mother, of Mount Pulaski; his wife, of Lincoln; five daughters, Penny (and Brian) Stevens of Riverton, Melissa (and Raymond) Obzut of Taylorville, Christa (and D.J.) Heidbreder of Normal, Amanda (and Moh) Moore of Peoria and Kimberly Vogel of Lincoln; two sons, Alan H. (and Mary) Moore of Washington and Samuel Moore of Chicago; three brothers, Terry (and Nancy) Moore of Elkhart, Scott (and Tami) Moore of Hartford, Wis., and Thomas (and Theresa) Moore of Elkhart; 15 grandchildren, James, David, Ashley, Brison, Justin, Colton, Spencer, Emma, Isaac, Isaiah, Ethen, Allen, Chloe, Jayda and Marvet; and two great-grandchildren, Kyndell and Faith.

He was preceded in death by his father; one granddaughter, Gladys; and a son-in-law, James Ginger.

He was a member of Mount Pulaski Christian Church and AFSCME.

Memorials may be made to the donor's choice or to the family.
