Letters to the Editor

Lincoln Daily News welcomes letters of appreciation, information and opinion on matters pertaining to the community.
Controversial issues:
As a community we need to be able to talk openly about matters that affect the quality of our lives. The most effective and least offensive manner to get your point across is to stick to the issue and refrain from commenting on another person's opinion. Letters that deviate from focusing on the issue may be rejected or edited and marked as such.

Salvation Army thank you          Send a link to a friend

To the editor:

We wish to express appreciation to all those who partnered with The Salvation Army Keest Center to provide a happier Thanksgiving and Christmas for families in our area. Nearly 100 families received assistance through Salvation Army programs during the 2006 holiday season.

In addition to the holiday assistance given, The Salvation Army, throughout the year, continued to provide help with various forms of aid to struggling families within Logan County.

Over the year The Salvation Army was blessed by over 350 volunteers donating over 2,100 hours of time.

Capt. Bonnie Sanders
