The City of Lincoln, Illinois will consider proposals for the insurance program for the City. Proposals are to be submitted on the prescribed bid forms in a sealed envelope clearly marked "Insurance Proposals." The insurance program includes the Property, Equipment Breakdown, Inland Marine, Commercial General Liability, Law Enforcement Liability, Public Officials Liability, Automobile Liability and Physical Damage, Umbrella Liability and Workers' Compensation coverage. The expiration date for all above coverages is May 1, 2007.

The Insurance Proposals will be opened at 10:00 A.M. on April 2, 2007, in the City Council Chambers, 2nd Floor, City Hall, Lincoln, Illinois 62656. Any proposals received after that time will be returned unopened to the sender. The address of the City Clerk's Office is 700 Broadway Street, Lincoln, IL 62656. The City Council will consider the Proposals at the April 16, 2007 Council Meeting.

The City of Lincoln will make its final selection based upon a combination of factors, including total premium, expected incidental expenses, scope of coverage/conformity to bid specifications, additional coverages provided, experience of broker/agent, experience of carriers, proposed loss prevention services, proposed claim adjustment services and proposed auditing services. The City of Lincoln reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, or any portion of a proposal for any or no reason, and to waive any minor irregularities. The City of Lincoln reserves the right to award the insurance as it deems to be in the best interest of the City. These criteria are deemed to comprise the factors for determining responsible bid acceptance practices.

THE CITY'S INSURANCE INFORMATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE TO ANY AGENT PRIOR TO 10:00 A.M. ON FEBRUARY 1, 2007, AND MAY BE PICKED UP FROM THE CITY CLERK'S OFFICE, 700 BROADWAY STREET, LINCOLN, ILLINOIS 62656 DURING THE HOURS OF 9:00 A.M. TO 5:00 P.M., MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY, EXCEPT HOLIDAYS.
