Lincoln Streets Department urges drivers to park in driveways          Send a link to a friend

[FEB. 12, 2007]  The Lincoln Streets Department is asking the residents of Lincoln to please not park on the streets during this snowstorm that’s forecast for Tuesday. We urge everyone that has a driveway to use it. With the amount of snow forecast (8 to 12 inches), the department will need the room to push this much snow.

Also, when shoveling your driveway, remember to shovel the snow to your right as you look out to the street. The plows come from the left, and if you shovel to the right, we will not plow as much snow back into your drive. There will be some snow, but we can't help it and we are sorry for that. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
