[FEB. 16, 2007]  Carolyn Ann Wallace George, 65, of Lincoln died Monday, Feb. 12, 2007, at 12:50 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Holland Barry and Bennett Funeral Home, 620 Pulaski St., with the Rev. Phillip Blackburn officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be at a later date.

She retired from Lincoln Development Center, where she was a mental health specialist for more than 30 years.

She was born July 18, 1941, at Anna to Carroll Griffith and Roberta Mae Ervin Wallace.

She is survived by one daughter, Stephanie (and Walter) Sablotny of Lincoln, and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Lincoln, where she served as a deacon and taught Sunday school for many years. She also was a member of Eastern Star.

She graduated from Lincoln College, attended Illinois Wesleyan and graduated from SIUC with a bachelor's degree in history.

Memorials may be made to Abraham Lincoln Memorial Healthcare Foundation or St. Clara's Manor.
