[July 02, 2007]  ST. LOUIS -- Illinois State's football game at Missouri State on Oct. 6 has been selected as the game of the week by the Gateway Football Conference and will be broadcast as part of the league's television package.

The game, which kicks off at 2 p.m., will be cleared live nationally on Fox College Sports and will be available via tape delay on FSN Midwest. Negotiations for additional clearances are currently in progress.

The Redbirds have won the last five meetings against the Bears and lead the all-time series 14-12-1. Since the inception of the conference's television package, the 'Birds and the Bears have had some memorable contests broadcast live. In a pair of come-from-behind victories, ISU defeated Missouri State 46-42 in 1999 and won 34-31 at Hancock Stadium in 2004.
