Wanda Huskins

[July 16, 2007]  Wanda L. Huskins, 54, of Lincoln died Saturday, July 14, 2007, at 11:30 p.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mark Peters officiating.

Burial will be in New Union Cemetery.

Mrs. Huskins was a teacher's aide at Lincoln Community High School.

She was born May 19, 1953, in Peoria to Robert D. and Lulu Belle Blanche Luncsford Hunter. She married Benny Huskins Sr. on Sept. 10, 1971, in Lincoln.

She is survived by her husband, of Lincoln; her mother, of Lincoln; two sons, Benny Huskins Jr. of Lincoln and Chad (and Tammy) Huskins of Atlanta; one daughter, Amy (and Patrick) Hancock of San Jose; one brother, Robert D. (and Connie) Hunter of Lincoln; two sisters, Lou Ann (and Richard) Newman of Lincoln and Lori Snyder of Lincoln; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father; one sister, Vickie Hunter; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and a past member of Women of the Moose.

Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
