Lefties Jason O'Brien and Cody Bolen limited Wal-Mart to seven hits
to notch the victory and save, respectively. Each helped his own
cause. O'Brien had three hits and three runs scored, while Bolen had
a triple and double. Zach Leonard and Caleb Hoerbert also had hits
for S&N Fireworks, with Hoerbert providing a key two-out double that
brought home two runs. Hartsburg finished the season 13-1.
For Wal-Mart, Jake Olson and Hayden Matson each had a hit and two
runs scored. Austin Jones and Jason Buckles each had a hit and run
scored. Tanner Smith was 3-for-4. Smith (4-3) took the loss on the
mound despite striking out 12 S&N hitters. Jones had four strikeouts
over two innings of work.
Wal-Mart finished the season 10-7 in second place in the league.
