[June 19, 2007]  (AP) Strong to severe thunderstorms are likely to develop across the central and northern Plains on Tuesday, bringing with them hail, heavy winds and possibly tornadoes.

A front moving across Mexico into the southern Rockies and Plains is likely to bring showers and thunderstorms.

A slow southward-moving front is expected to trigger scattered showers and thunderstorms from the Southeast to the lower Mississippi Valley and parts of the southern Plains.

Strong to severe thunderstorms are also likely in Georgia and northern and central Florida. A storm off the East Coast will likely bring showers and thunderstorms to much of the Eastern Seaboard.

A Pacific front is expected to move ashore later Tuesday and bring light rain to the Pacific Northwest through Wednesday morning.

Temperatures in the lower 48 states Monday ranged from a low of 30 degrees at Bellemont, Ariz., to a high of 110 degrees at Death Valley, Calif.
