The honor of being named an all-American is given to those who place
in the top eight in the national wrestling tournament, which was in
Rochester, Minn., in February. Jordan, who is a national champion,
wrestled in the 133 weight class, and Hale placed sixth in the 149
weight division. Jordan, a Mount Carmel High School graduate, is
taking liberal arts courses at Lincoln College. He was named a
two-time high school all-American and qualified for the IHSA state
tournament. He placed first in 2003 and 2004 and fourth in 2002 in
the IHSA competition. He is the son of Daniel and Debbie Jordan of
Frankfort.
Hale, a 2005 graduate of Bloomington High School, is taking
liberal arts courses at Lincoln College. He is a two-time IHSA state
qualifier, placing fifth in 2005 and second in 2006. He is the son
of Harvey and Brenda Hale of Bloomington.
