MOUNT PULASKI -- Harold E. "Shavy"
Schaffenacker, 85, of Mount Pulaski died Wednesday, March 7, 2007, at 4 a.m. at
Vonderlieth Living Center.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski. |
His funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Zion
Lutheran Church in Mount Pulaski, with the Rev. Mark
Drews officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pulaski
Cemetery.
Mr. Schaffenacker was a farmer.
He was born Dec. 29, 1921, in Logan County to
Herbert Jacob and Esther Nora Dittus Schaffenacker.
He married Marilynn Mueller in Mount Pulaski on Dec.
26, 1970.
He is survived by his wife, of Mount Pulaski; one
sister, Marilyn (and Ed) Hickey of Mount Pulaski;
two stepdaughters, Judith (and Lee) Cooper of Mount
Pulaski and Barbara (and Jim) Dodge of Newman; four
nieces; two nephews; 10 stepgrandchildren; and five
step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Wilford;
one stepdaughter, Nancy Irwin; and two stepgrandsons. |
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Mount
Pulaski and the Logan County Farm Bureau.
Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church or
Zion Lutheran School of Mount Pulaski or to the
American Cancer Society.
