Her funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln,
with the Rev. Dennis Shaw officiating. Visitation
will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will
be in Zion Cemetery
Mrs. South was a homemaker.
She was born April 9, 1910, at Burton View to
William and Barbara Pregler Franz. She married
Joseph M. South on Aug. 22, 1928, in Lincoln. He
preceded her in death on May 30, 1974.
She is survived by one niece, Janet (Marvin)
Johnson of Lincoln; one nephew, Dwain (and Linda)
Franz of Lincoln; her caregivers for 34 years, Tom
and Janice Rock of Lincoln; and a sister-in-law,
Gertrude (and Wayne) Munsch of Lincoln.
She was also preceded in death by one brother,
Henry Franz.
She was a member of Lincoln Southern Baptist
Church and Lincoln Eagles.
Memorials may be made to Maple Ridge Care Centre
or Hospice Care of Illinois.
