Premier High School All-Star Game

[March 19, 2007]  SPRINGFIELD -- Forty of the top high school seniors playing basketball in the area will compete in the inaugural Premier Basketball High School All-Star Game in Springfield. The event is scheduled for March 25 at Sacred Heart-Griffin Academy, located at 1200 W. Washington St. This is the first year for what is planned to be an annual event.

The games will be broadcast live by Springfield's Sportsradio 1450 AM. The girls tip off at 6 p.m., and a 3-point contest will take place at halftime. The boys hit the floor at 7:45 p.m., and their halftime festivities include a 3-point and slam-dunk contest.

The games are one of six all-star games hosted by Premier, which also includes a junior high game. All games this year will be at SHG.

Tickets will be available at the door on March 25 and are $5 for adults and $3 for students.
