Norma Harbert

[November 09, 2007]  Norma L. Harbert, 82, of Lincoln died Friday, Nov. 9, 2007, at 1:45 a.m. at The Christian Village.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, followed by an Eagles Auxiliary service at 4 p.m. Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Ryan Edgecombe officiating.

Burial will be in Union Cemetery.

Mrs. Harbert had worked as a cook for Lincoln Community High School and District 27 and as a cashier at the A&P grocery store in Lincoln.

She was born July 22, 1925, in Lincoln to Lewis and Mary Wattles Koehler. She married Richard C. Harbert on Jan. 18, 1946, in Bloomington. He preceded her in death July 28, 2000.

She is survived by one son, Richard A. (and Cindy) Harbert of Decatur; one daughter, Teena M. (and Greg) Feldman of Lincoln; one sister, Donna Wettstein of Eureka; three grandchildren, Autumn (and Mike) Usalis, Megan Harbert and Abbie Feldman; and one great-grandchild, Alli Marie Brown.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Jan Harbert; four brothers, Carl, George, William and Bobby Koehler; and three sisters, Kate, Midge and Julia.

She was a member of Lincoln Christian Church, American Business Women's Association, and a charter member and past president of Eagles Lodge Auxiliary.

Memorials may be made to Eagles Auxiliary.
