Frank E. Krotz, 54, passed away
peacefully surrounded by loving family on November 14, 2007 after a
brief illness. Frank was born April 13, 1953 in Lincoln, Illinois
the son of Edward and Cecilia Krotz. |
Frank spent most of his adult life in Decatur,
Illinois before moving to Naples 11 years ago to
escape the cold winters. Working at the Naples Daily
News inspired Frank’s literary spirit to shine
through in published articles and musings he thought
important. Employed in the Advertising Sales
Department for over 10 years he frequently exceeded
company sales goals because he had the ability to
see what was right for his customer enabling him to
pursue numerous sales achievement awards of
recognition.
Frank was an avid golfer who played the best Naples
has to offer. Trivia was also important to him and
frequently he entered nation wide contests on NTN
where he was rated in the top 5 %. Most important to
him were the Bronx Bombers. Yes we are talking about
the New York Yankees who left an impression on him
in little league as a boy which he carried into
manhood and knew more history and stats about the
team than most sports writers. The team will lose a
loyal and faithful fan that never wavered in support
over 45 years.
Frank’s love of the game mirrored his love of life
which explained his easy going ways. Never in doubt
was his love for family as he leaves behind his
dedicated and loving wife Melissa, mother Cecilia,
brothers: Edward, Mark, Keith, sister Sheila, and
stepson Shane. Never to be forgotten “sweetie”
Marlene, Belinda, and Debbie will miss his heartfelt
expression of love. Known as a loving Uncle to
Eddie, Celia, Jennifer, Karl, Nicole, and Jessica.
Great Uncle to Alex, Cassie, and Aden.
Visitation will be held at Peasley Funeral Home in
Lincoln, Illinois from 5pm-8pm Tuesday, November 20,
2007. As a devote Catholic Frank requested a rosary
service which will be held at 4:30 pm prior to
visitation. A mass will be held at 10:00 am
Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at Holy Family Catholic
Church in Lincoln, Illinois . Immediately following
burial will be a celebration lunch at the K of C for
all family and friends.
