Maxine Maxheimer

[October 07, 2007]  Maxine Maxheimer, 83, of Lincoln died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, at 10:01 p.m. in the emergency room at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Frank Pieper officiating.

Burial will be in Mount Pulaski Cemetery, Mount Pulaski.

Mrs. Maxheimer was a homemaker.

She was born June 1, 1924, in Logan County to Fred and Alma Caroline Danner Horn. She married Alfred Walter Maxheimer on Jan. 25, 1948, in Mount Pulaski, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 24, 2004.

She is survived by one son, Dale (and Betty) Maxheimer of Chestnut; three daughters, Shirley Brittin of Lincoln, Linda Ryan of Elkhart and Teresa (and Craig) Strampp of Lincoln; one brother; two sisters; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Phyllis Jean Maxheimer; twin granddaughters; and two brothers.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Mount Pulaski.

She was also a member of the American Women's Bowling Association. She loved to sew, read and garden.

Memorials may be made to the Children's Miracle Network or Lincoln Rural Fire Department.
