Michael W. Guile, 49, of Lincoln died
Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007, at 8 p.m. at Hopedale Medical Center in
Hopedale.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Peasley Funeral Home.
His funeral will be at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with
Chad Halbach officiating. |

Cremation rites will be accorded following the
service. Mr. Guile worked in emergency medical
services for over 25 years, including over 10 years
as a paramedic at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.
He was also a driver for Aero Care Air Ambulance,
transporting organ and tissue recovery teams. He
last was employed by the Gift of Hope as an organ
and tissue surgical coordinator in Springfield.
Michael Wayne Guile was born Dec. 13, 1957, in
Pekin to Theodore Dewey and Betty Jean Williams
Guile. He married Dee Ann Gentry on June 18, 1987,
in Clinton.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years; his
children, Christopher Guile of Edwardsville and
Brandi Williamson of Lincoln; one granddaughter,
Dev'n Gentry of Lincoln; two brothers, Alan Guile of
Auburn and Donnie Guile of Dennison, Texas, three
sisters, Teresa Gladchuk of Florida, Jean Rogers of
East Peoria and Dorla Streight of East Peoria; and
one brother-in-law, Larry Gentry of Lincoln. |
He was preceded in death by his parents and his
in-laws, Herbert and Virgia Gentry.
He graduated from Pekin High School in 1975 and
received his paramedic training at St. John's
Hospital in Springfield.
