Everett P. Huskins Sr., 94, of Lincoln
died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007, at 4:20 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln
Memorial Hospital.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. His funeral will be
at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mark Peters
officiating. |
Burial will be in New Union Cemetery. Mr. Huskins
was retired cab driver for Lincoln Cab Co.
He was born April 5, 1913, in Logan County to
Annias and Pearl Wallace Huskins. He married Gertie
Mae Skelton on Dec. 22, 1938, in Lincoln. She
preceded him in death Oct. 12, 1995.
He is survived by four sons, Robert Huskins (and
companion Sally Geshrick) of Bloomington, Benny
Huskins Sr. of Lincoln, Bruce A. (and Billie)
Huskins of Lincoln and Strawther "Bill" (and Nancy)
Huskins of Lincoln; six daughters, Mildred Blake of
Montgomery City, Mo., and Dorothy Mathis, Patricia
(and Ron) Robertson, Mary (and Carl) Lingo, Norma
Gallagher and Kay Green (and companion Bill
Crowell), all of Lincoln; one brother, Kenneth (and
Kathy) Huskins of Lincoln; two sisters, Jean (and
Bob) Lolling of Lincoln and Agnes Eckert of Lincoln;
44 grandchildren; 83 great-grandchildren; and 35
great-great-grandchildren. |
He was also preceded in death by one daughter, one
son, two brothers, three sisters and four
grandchildren.
He was a member of Lincoln Christian Church.
