The annual dinner, themed "Partnering for the Future," highlighted
the relationship that Community Action has and continues to foster
with local organizations, businesses and other service providers in
order to be as effective as possible in achieving the mission of
eliminating severe poverty and its effects.
Looking to 2008, the governing board announced the new executive
board at the annual dinner. Steve Lobb of DeWitt County will
continue to serve as the president, Phib Bell-Hedden of Mason County
will continue to serve at vice president, and Mike Booher of Logan
County will continue to serve as treasurer for the private,
nonprofit organization. Larry Graf of Menard County will fill the
role of secretary.
In addition, the agency announced that the organization will
begin using a new corporate name, Community Action Partnership of
Central Illinois, to better reflect the organization's purpose and
mission.
