The Oasis, Logan County's senior citizen
center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open weekdays, except
holidays, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center also is open on Friday
and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is the executive
director. Activities are open to all Logan County senior citizens,
regardless of membership. Friends of The Oasis members receive a
bimonthly newsletter by mail and reduced rates for classes and

Light lunch bingo Maple Ridge Care Centre will sponsor the
"light lunch bingo" Thursday at The Oasis. Lunch is at noon,
followed by bingo.
Visitors meet
The Meeters and Greeters group will meet at 2 p.m. Monday at the
senior center.
Free telephones
The Illinois Telecommunication Access Corporation can supply you
with a free telephone that will amplify the volume to make it
easier for you to hear and participate in a phone conversation.
Appointments will be available April 8 and 9. Call 732-6132.

Tuesday's lunch
The 11:30 a.m. lunch for April 8 will feature spaghetti with
meatballs, salad, garlic bread, and dessert. The cost of the meal is
$3.75; or, if you stay and play cards, the cost of the meal is
$3.25. The deadline to make reservations is Monday at noon.
Card winners
The winners for weekday pinochle were Helen Cart, Bernie Haley,
Mina Bradburn and Bob Tumbleson. Weekend pinochle winners were
Eileen Kohl, Wilbur Wilmert, Ann Hedrick and Kathy Roos. The winners
for five-in-one were Bernie DePuy, Betty Burger, Ruth Barry and
Linda Hughes.
