Letters to the Editor

Lincoln Daily News welcomes letters of appreciation, information and opinion on matters pertaining to the community.

Controversial issues:
As a community we need to be able to talk openly about matters that affect the quality of our lives. The most effective and least offensive manner to get your point across is to stick to the issue and refrain from commenting on another person's opinion. Letters that deviate from focusing on the issue may be rejected or edited and marked as such.

To the editor:

I want to thank all of those who volunteered and participated in our fifth annual LCCS Run for Your Life 2 Mile Race. I especially want to thank all our sponsors. We were fortunate to have several area businesses partnering with us as we encourage health and wellness. They graciously offered their support by either financial sponsorship or donated goods/services for our post-race party. Their involvement in various community activities speaks volumes of their service and image.

Our 2008 sponsors: Health Alliance, ALMH, Lincoln Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep, Christian Homes, P.J. Hoerr Inc., Webster Construction, LCCS Wellness Services, Century Dental Center, Apple Dental, Charron's Auto Repair, Graue Inc., Guzzardo's, Kroger, Lincoln IGA, Puritan Water, Russell Stover Candies, Springfield Running Center, CEFCU, Cape Landing Salon, Cracker Barrel, First Wok, Wal-Mart, LCC Coffee Shop, LCCS Bookstore, Runners World and Food Fantasies in Springfield. Without them, we could not have provided this race. Our race was a huge success and part of its success is credited to them. Thank you!

Ann Spellman
Race director
