Edward Joseph Pelc, 91, of Lincoln, died
Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008, at 7:15 a.m. at Maple Ridge Care Centre. |
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial
Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Family
Catholic Church, with the Rev. John Pham
officiating.
No visitation is scheduled.
Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln is in charge of
arrangements.
Mr. Pelc owned and operated the Radio Lab and TV
shop in Lincoln for over 50 years.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Force and was in
Civilian Conservation Corps for three years. He was
a World War II veteran.
He was born March 19, 1917, in Lincoln to John
and Antonia Rudzienski Pelc. He married Laverda Bree
on March 19, 1947, in Lincoln.
He is survived by his wife of over 60 years; one
daughter, Mary Ann (and Terry) Stokes of Decatur;
and three brothers, John (and Mineva) Pelc, Joseph
Pelc and Henry Pelc, all of Lincoln. |
He was a member of Holy Family Church and a past
member of Elks Lodge 914.
He was an avid Cubs fan and a ham radio operator.
He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1936.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer
Society.
