MIDDLETOWN -- Charles William "Bill"
Boward, 79, of Middletown, died Monday, Aug. 25, 2008, at 2:30 p.m.
at St. Clara's Manor in Lincoln.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln. A Masonic service will follow at 7 p.m. |
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Middletown
Methodist Church, with Pastor Robert Ervin
officiating.
Burial, with military rites, will be in Irish
Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Boward worked for Pillsbury Mills for 35
years.
He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.
He was born Sept. 20, 1928, in Edwardsville to
James and Alvina Habeck Boward. He married Ethel
Jane Busch on Aug. 20, 1949, in Middletown.
He is survived by his wife, Jane, of Middletown;
two daughters, Cinda (and Jeff) Dorgan of Middletown
and Becky Kunken of Mount Pulaski; three grandsons;
and one great-granddaughter.
A brother, James L. Boward, preceded him in
death. |
He was a member of Middletown Methodist Church,
Greenview Masonic Lodge, American Legion Post 672,
Ansar Shrine and the Tin Lizzies with the Shriners.
Memorials may be made to Middletown Methodist
Church, Middletown Fire and Rescue, or Shriners
Hospital.
