Do you love children and think you are a
positive role model? Do you have patience, time and space in your
home? Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Peoria located in Lincoln is
accepting applications for foster families to care for children, some
with exceptional needs. Many of these children have developmental delays
and/or behavior disorders. They would be provided counseling and/or
other services, as needed. We provide training, licensing and continuing
support services. We also provide financial reimbursement to help care
for the child(ren). If you can provide nurturing care, involvement,
supervision and a stable home environment, please call the
licensing/resource worker, at 217-732-3771.

The LCFC and Parent Mentor Project
are hosting the IEP Planning and Participation Workshop on Feb. 28 from
5:30 to 8:30 at the ADI Educational Center, located at 305 N. Kickapoo
St. in Lincoln. Jan Krissa from Family Matters is presenting the

and Connie Hamblen of Rushville, formerly of Waynesville, are excited to
announce the engagement of their daughter, Wendy Marie (Conard) Garner, to
Jason Cole DeFord, son of Jerry and Kay DeFord, all of Bath.
An Aug. 2 wedding is planned at the Sangamon Valley Presbyterian Church,
Virginia, Ill., the same church where Jason's parents were married 35 years
ago.
