[February 22, 2008]  MOUNT PULASKI -- Marilynn M. Schaffenacker, 86, of Mount Pulaski died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008, at 7:20 p.m. at Vonderlieth Living Center.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Mount Pulaski Zion Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Mark Drews officiating.

Burial will be in Mount Pulaski Cemetery.

Mrs. Schaffenacker was a homemaker.

She was born July 17, 1921, to Richard E. and Edna Holmes Mueller. She married Louis G. French in Mount Pulaski on Feb. 16, 1941, and he preceded her in death on April 23, 1969. She married Harold Schaffenacker in Mount Pulaski on Dec 26, 1970, and he preceded her in death on March 7, 2007.

She is survived by two daughters, Judith Cooper of Mount Pulaski and Barbara (and Jim) Dodge of Newman; one brother, Forrest Mueller of Newark, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy Irwin; one brother; one sister; and two grandsons.

She was a member of Mount Pulaski Zion Lutheran Church and the Ladies Circle of the church, Mount Pulaski Woman's Club, and the "Other Club." She was the leader of the Handy Hands 4-H for over 20 years.

Memorials may be made to Mount Pulaski Zion Lutheran Church or Mount Pulaski Zion Lutheran School.
