Basketball Reunion This Weekend

Ten Champions to be Honored Sunday at Penn State Game

CHAMPAIGN -- A large contingent
of former Fighting Illini basketball players, including several
members of the 1998 Big Ten championship squad, will return to
Champaign-Urbana this weekend for a reunion weekend.

Players from the 1998 squad who are expected to return include
Victor Chukwudebe, Jelani Boline, Jerry Hester, Jarrod Gee, Kevin
Turner, Sergio McClain and Rich Beyers. The team will be recognized
at halftime of the Penn State game on Sunday, which begins at 1 p.m.
Other prominent former players who are expected to be in attendance
this weekend include Steve Bardo, Ted Beach, Kevin Bontemps, Randy
Crews, Dave Downey, Clive Follmer, Ken Norman, Fred Green, Perry
Range, Larry Smith and T.J. Wheeler.
