ARMINGTON -- Robert L. Williams, 69, of
Armington died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2008, at 4:28 p.m. at Hopedale
Hospital. |

A graveside funeral service will be at 11 a.m.
Saturday at Oak View Cemetery in Armington, with Ed
Loyd officiating. Arrangements are being handled
by Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home, Atlanta.
Mr. Williams retired from Caterpillar in Morton
in 1997 after 27 years of employment.
He was born in rural Atlanta on Nov. 15, 1938, to
Clarence F. and M. Irene Bossingham Williams. He
married Jo Ann Youle on Jan. 17, 1959, in Delavan.
He is survived by his wife, of Armington; his
mother, of Atlanta; one daughter, Michele (and
Brent) Wright of Champaign; two grandchildren,
Brandon E. Wright of Champaign and Brittany L. (and
Shane) Martin of Urbana; and one great-grandchild,
Jazlyn Martin.
He was preceded in death by twin sons, Robert and
James Williams, and his father. |
He was a member of the Armington Christian Church
and union Local 974.
He graduated from Hittle Township High School in
1956.
