Verna Morrow

[January 25, 2008]  Verna S. Morrow, 91, of Lincoln died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2008, at 1:05 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.

Her funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lincoln, with the Rev. Jeffrey G. Laible officiating.

No visitation is scheduled.

Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln is in charge of arrangements.

Miss Morrow formerly lived in Chicago, where she was chief clerk for the head engineer of the Santa Fe Railway. She retired after 39 years of service.

Verna Sielaff Morrow was born March 29, 1916, in Lincoln to John Joseph and Bertha Sielaff Morrow.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was the last of her immediate family and was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister: Norman Morrow, Eunice Morrow Parsley, John Morrow, Harold Morrow, Paul Morrow, Walter Morrow and Clarence Morrow.

Memorials may be made to Carroll Catholic School in Lincoln.
