Thomas Cash

[July 11, 2008]  LATHAM -- Thomas Edward Cash, 71, of Latham, died Friday, July 11, 2008, at 8:40 a.m. at his home.

Mr. Cash donated his body to medical science.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski.

Mr. Cash retired from the Army National Guard in Illinois and owned and operated Cash’s Lawn and Garden Service.

He had also served in the U.S. Navy.

He was born June 30, 1937, at Macomb to Carroll and Elizabeth Leftridge Cash. He married Patricia Briggs in Macomb on March 23, 1959.

He is survived by his wife, of Latham; one son, Thomas Edward Jr. (and Shellie) Cash of Springfield; one daughter, Lynda Lee Cash of Latham; two brothers, John Cash of Macomb and Joe (Diane) Cash of Carterville; and three grandchildren, Jessica Auten, Devin Auten and Samantha Auten, all of Latham.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Director

He was a member of Latham Baptist Church.

He was also a member of the Latham Fire Department, a former Logan County Board member and a Latham zoning officer.

Memorials may be made to Latham Fire and Rescue or Latham Baptist Church.
