William Carl Lohrenz Jr., 90, of
Lincoln died Thursday, July 10, 2008, at 4:18 p.m. at Abraham
Lincoln Memorial Hospital.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Church in
Lincoln, with the Rev. Thomas Taylor officiating. Visitation will be
one hour prior to the funeral, and there will be a prayer service at
8:45 a.m. |
Burial, with military rites, will be in Holy
Cross Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Mr. Lohrenz was an accounting manager for Eaton
Corp. before he retired.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was born April 19, 1918, at New Holland to
William Carl and Anna Groth Lohrenz Sr. He married
Agnes M. Pokorski on Oct. 27, 1941, in Lincoln. She
preceded him in death on March 16, 2003.
He is survived by two daughters, Sandy (and Lynn)
Aper of Lincoln and Karen Humbert of Athens; one
sister, Ann Lohrenz of Lincoln; four grandsons,
Scott (Jennifer) Aper of Chatham, Greg Aper of
Atlanta, Ga., Michael Aper of Chicago and Brad
Humbert of St. Louis, Mo.; and three granddaughters,
Lorie (and John) Allison of Chatham, Allison Humbert
of Cardiff, Calif., and Nicole Humbert of Macomb. |
He was also preceded in death by an infant son,
Joseph, and three brothers, Lynn "Mike," Marion and
Stanley.
He was a member of Holy Family Church of Lincoln.
Memorials may be made to the therapy department
at Lincoln Christian Village.
