Marjorie Doom

[June 03, 2008]  Marjorie E. Doom, 88, of Lincoln, died Sunday, June 1, 2008, at 11:10 a.m. at her home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Ken Gennicks officiating.

Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield.

Mrs. Doom was a homemaker.

She was born Aug. 29, 1919, in rural Elkhart to Simon and Flora Farley Priddy. She married Lyle Doom on Dec. 4, 1939, in Missouri. He preceded her in death Oct. 2, 2003.

She is survived by two daughters, Diane (and Tim) Ingalsbe of Cantrall and Elaine (Roy) Logsdon of Cincinnati, Iowa; two sons, Robert (Sharon) Doom of Glendale, Ariz., and David (and Linda) Doom of Springfield; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was the last of her immediate family and was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl and Lawrence Priddy, and one sister, Ruby Turner.

She was a member of Lincoln Christian Church and the Friendship Corner class at the church. She was a Sunday school teacher for 25 years.

Funeral Director

Memorials may be made to Lincoln Christian Church or Logan County Paramedic Association.
