Mary K. Rodgers, 92, formerly of
Lincoln, died Saturday, May 31, 2008, at 8:10 a.m. at Bloomington
Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Bloomington.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln, with the Rev. Daniel Tuhy officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be on Thursday in New Union Cemetery.
Mrs. Rodgers was a homemaker and registered nurse.
She had worked at Lincoln Developmental Center.
She was born Oct. 31, 1915, in Lincoln, to Leon
and Katheryn Walker Douglas. She married Raoul
"Spike" H. Rodgers on June 23, 1937, in
Jacksonville, Mo. He preceded her in death March 9,
1978.
She is survived by two sons, George (and Doreen)
Rodgers of Bloomington and Mathias Rodgers of
Bloomington; one daughter, Darlene (and Paul)
Williams of Port Byron; one sister-in-law, Betty
Douglas of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; six grandchildren; and
11 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two daughters
and one brother, Eldred Douglas. |
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of
Lincoln.
Memorials may be made to the Arthritis
Foundation, American Heart Association or Muscular
Dystrophy Association.
